Graduation Ceremony of 105th batch of Barli's Trainees
The Graduation Ceremony of
105th batch of women-trainees
was organized with great zeal at
Barli Development Institute for
Rural Women on 30th October
2013, 6.00 p.m.  The Chief guest
on the occasion was Mr. Shirish
Dayal, Executive Director,
Tarsadia Foundation (California,
USA). Members of the Board of
Directors: Dr. F.U Shaad (Bhopal)
and Dr. Janak Palta McGilligan
were also present on the
occasion. Volunteers from
Germany Ms. Anna Richter and
Ms. Svenja also participated in
the program.
The program began with a prayer and the guests were
welcomed with traditional artefacts made by the trainees.
The Director of the Institute Mrs. Tahera Jadhav
congratulated the trainees for successfully completing the
six-month course and said that when they will return home
they must utilize this knowledge to improve their lives and
that of their families and use their skills for serving
mankind. She said that according to the Baha’i spiritual
writings ‘Service to Humanity is service to God’ and ‘any
work done with the spirit of service is the highest form of
worship’. She said that the trainees of Barli are like
diamonds  and jewels which will spread their light even in
darkness and can inspire others with their inner strength.
On the occasion merit certificates were presented to 83 trainees who had successfully completed their six-
month training course comprising of: Literacy, Cutting and tailoring, Health and Environmental conservation,
and Sustainable community development. Trophies were also presented to the trainees who successfully
passed their 10th and 12th grade examinations. The trainees are tribal and rural women coming from 42
villages of various districts of Madhya Pradesh incl.: Alirajpur, Dhar, Sehore, Khargone, Ujjain, Dewas,  
Indore and Badwani.
Member of the Board Dr. Shaad (Bhopal) said that the trainees were like lighted lamps that can illumine
other lamps and dissolve the darkness of ignorance. Member of the board, Dr. Janak Palta Mc.Gilligan said
that she was delighted to see the beautiful performances and confidence of the trainees. She hoped that all
the trainees will realize their dreams and aspirations and have a bright future.
The Program was conducted by asst. trainer Ms. Pooja Mandloi and the vote of thanks was presented by the
Chief Operating Officer Mr. Yogesh Jadhav.
Chief guest Mr. Shirish Dayal said that he was amazed to see how much the trainees have learnt in such a
short period of six months. He motivated the trainees to dream big and to work hard with full confidence
towards their goals. He said that for a person with a strong will power there is nothing in the world which she
cannot achieve.  On the occasion, trainees presented a cultural program of tribal dances and folk songs.
Ms. Anna Richter from Germany left everyone spellbound with her flute performance. The trainees also
shared their experiences of the last six months and their future plans when they return to their villages.
